Commercial Manager, Renewable Energy building improvement projects, North East

 

The Company

A growing regional business specialising in the delivery and installation of new energy and property improvement projects. With an expanding portfolio across solar PV, air source heat pumps, insulation, window improvements and MEP small works, the business is entering an exciting period of continued growth.

 

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior QS/Commercial Manager to take responsibility for the commercial management and control of projects across the business. The role will oversee project costs, valuations, variations, procurement, forecasting and commercial performance, while supporting the continued development of the commercial function.

The position would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career, with the opportunity to develop into a broader commercial leadership role and build a team as the business expands.

 

Experience Required

  • Quantity Surveying experience within construction, building services, energy or a related sector.
  • Strong commercial and financial management skills.
  • Experience managing project costs, variations, valuations and forecasting.
  • Good understanding of contractual and commercial controls.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach, with the ambition to develop and lead a growing commercial function.

 

Remuneration

Salary is negotiable depending on experience and suitability. The package includes a car allowance and pension, with the role primarily office based and reasonable flexibility available.
