Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
Pay Rate: PAYE: £ 41,024.00 per year

Job Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles and council fleet vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
- Complete routine inspections, MOT preparation and preventative maintenance.
- Repair and replace vehicle components, including brakes, suspension, steering and engine systems.
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications, safety standards and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate service, repair and inspection records.
- Carry out vehicle checks and report defects or safety concerns.
- Respond efficiently to breakdowns and repair requirements where required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
- Work effectively with colleagues and operational teams to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent.
- Proven experience working as a commercial vehicle technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment.
- Good understanding of health and safety and relevant vehicle legislation.
- Able to diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
- Good practical, problem-solving and mechanical skills.
- Reliable, organised and able to work to deadlines.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence, with relevant commercial vehicle categories desirable.
