12 month contract
We're recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join a major UK infrastructure programme within the water and wastewater sector. Working across the full project lifecycle, you'll lead commissioning activities from design review and testing through to handover and client training.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing commissioning activities, including FAT/SAT testing, installation verification, troubleshooting, and system handover.
- Coordinating with design teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure safe, compliant project delivery.
- Producing commissioning documentation, progress reports, and training operational teams on new equipment and processes.
What We're Looking For
- Proven commissioning experience within the water or wastewater industry, ideally working for a principal contractor.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, commissioning processes, and industry regulations.
- Relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or Apprenticeship) and site certifications such as CSCS/ECS and SMSTS/SSSTS.
An IR35 assessment for tax purposes is required for this engagement. In order to determine the Limited Company's correct IR35 status, an individual Limited Company assessment will be required.
