This Commissioning Manager role is ideal for someone with a strong electrical background who enjoys leading commissioning activities, managing stakeholders and ensuring complex building services systems are successfully delivered through testing, commissioning and handover phases.
The successful Commissioning Manager will play a key role within a major programme, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure commissioning activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.
The Role
As a Commissioning Manager, you'll be involved in:
- Leading commissioning activities across major building services installations
- Managing the commissioning process from pre-commissioning through to handover
- Coordinating subcontractors, specialist suppliers and project stakeholders
- Reviewing commissioning programmes and ensuring delivery milestones are achieved
- Supporting testing, validation and performance verification activities
- Managing commissioning documentation and handover information
- Ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements
- Supporting project teams throughout installation, commissioning and completion stages
- Attending site meetings and providing technical commissioning leadership
This Commissioning Manager position offers long-term involvement on a major defence programme with significant project responsibility.
What They're Looking For
- Experience working as a Commissioning Manager within building services, MEP or construction environments
- Strong electrical commissioning background
- Experience delivering large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple commissioning activities and contractors
- Strong understanding of commissioning processes, testing procedures and project handover requirements
- Black CSCS Card
- British passport holder and eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC)
Experience across defence, secure environments, critical infrastructure, government facilities or highly regulated projects would be highly advantageous.
