Join a growing team developing prototype and low-volume automotive components as a Composite Technician. This hands-on role will focus on the manufacture, assembly and repair of advanced composite components, supporting the development of innovative vehicle programmes within a fast-paced engineering environment.
 
The Composite Technician will be responsible for:
  • Manufacturing, assembling and repairing composite components for prototype and development projects.
  • Carrying out composite lay-up, trimming, fitting and bonding activities.
  • Performing trackside and workshop composite repairs, including wet lay-up and moulding techniques.
  • Working from plybooks, technical drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Supporting vacuum bagging, curing and finishing processes.
  • Collaborating with engineers and technicians to resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
 
The Composite Technician will have:
  • At least 2 years' experience in composite manufacturing within automotive, motorsport, aerospace or a similar environment.
  • Strong experience working with carbon fibre composite components.
  • Experience with composite lay-up, trimming, fitting and finishing techniques.
  • Knowledge of composite repair methods and low-volume manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret plybooks, engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience using hand and power tools associated with composite manufacture.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
