TEACHER OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
1 September 2026 – 31 December 2026 | Full-Time (5 Days per Week) | MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience) | Tonbridge, Kent
About the Role and Key ResponsibilitiesTailorEDucation is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Computer Science to join a secondary school in Tonbridge from September 2026 until December 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, inspiring students to develop their computational thinking, programming skills, and understanding of digital technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3–KS5
- Teaching GCSE and A-Level Computer Science
- Preparing schemes of work and lesson resources in line with the curriculum
- Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress
- Marking classwork, homework and assessments in accordance with school policies
- Providing constructive feedback to support student achievement
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
- Contributing to departmental planning and school initiatives where required

The Ideal Candidate ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Computer Science within UK secondary schools
- The ability to teach Computer Science up to Key Stage 5 (A-Level)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Computer Science education
- Experience of planning, assessment and marking
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
