GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE OF THE ROLE:

BMSL require an experiecned CSA Construction Manager for a contract  with the project delivery teams and focus on the safety and quality delivery and commercial understanding of all the CSA works  

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Understand and define the scope of CSA works, including civil works, structural steel, concrete, masonry, finishes, and architectural elements.
  • Collaborate with design coordination teams to ensure constructability of CSA designs and identify potential issues early and drawing reviews are taking place to achieve project delivery dates.
  • Identify potential risks (e.g., soil stability, weather impacts) and develop mitigation strategies with the CSA Supervisor and CSA Project Engineer 
  • Provide input for project cost estimates specific to CSA management and activities.
  • Develop and manage construction schedules for CSA-related tasks.
  • Ensure all required permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals are obtained 
  • Oversee and collaborate with the CSA Supervisor day-to-day execution of CSA construction activities across a project
  • Ensure site set up, and appearance are in line with H&MV mobilising procedure.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers for CSA disciplines, ensuring compliance Carry out contractors’ evaluation to track compliance and progress.
  • Inspect and ensure that construction work meets design specifications, industry standards, and client expectations based on the our Client standards and alignment with our ITP process.
  • Identify and address construction defects or non-conformities in a timely manner with the CSA Supervisor and CSA Project Engineer 
  • Carry out regular quality audits and share with project team for close out.
  • Support the CSA Supervisor in Identifying HRA (High Risk Activities) civil activities 
  • Support the CSA Supervisor in Identify EHRA (Extra High-Risk Activities) 
  • Act as a point of contact, designers, and contractors regarding CSA matters to improve innovation and construction activities.
  • Address design changes, site conditions, and unforeseen issues, providing timely resolutions supporting the CSA Supervisor across the projects 
  • High level overview in the coordination delivery of critical CSA materials to align with project milestones supporting the CSA Supervisor across the project.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of CSA work against the schedule and budget.
  • Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to Civil, Architectural and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations in conjunction with the CSA Supervisor and CSA Project Engineer.
  • Prepare for project handover by ensuring all CSA systems and elements are complete and meet the specified standards.
  • Resolve construction challenges quickly to avoid delays or cost overruns.
  • Ensure CSA construction activities comply with environmental regulations and sustainability goals.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, structural design, and architectural finishes.
  • Expertise in construction methods, materials, and standards.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Team player who demonstrates important level of initiative.
