Construction Manager – Data Centre Project

Location: Hemel Hempstead
Duration: 18-Month Contract
Project Value: Circa £100m

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join a major data centre project in Hemel Hempstead. This is a flagship £100m scheme with approximately 18 months remaining.

Key Responsibilities

• Management and coordination of:
  • Scaffolding packages
  • Drylining works
  • White wall installations
  • Builders' work packages
• Oversee Temporary Works activities and ensure compliance.
• Act as or work closely with the site's Authorised Person (AP) requirements.
• Drive programme delivery, quality, health & safety, and productivity across multiple subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Managers, Designers, and Client representatives.
• Monitor progress against programme and ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Manage site logistics, sequencing, and package interfaces.
• Lead site meetings and subcontractor performance reviews.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager on major projects (£50m+).
• Data centre experience highly desirable.
• Strong background managing drylining, builders' works, internal fit-out, and structural packages.
• Experience with Temporary Works coordination.
• AP experience or relevant operational authorisations preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid required.
