Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with Temporary Works experience to oversee site operations and ensure the successful delivery of projects throughout the UK.
The Role
As Construction Manager, you will take ownership of site-based activities from pre-construction through to project completion. You will coordinate installation teams, subcontractors and clients while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
A key element of this role will be the management and coordination of Temporary Works, ensuring all temporary structures and systems are designed, implemented and managed in accordance with statutory and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple installation and construction projects simultaneously.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise site operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, designers and project stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and report against programme, budget and resource plans.
- Manage subcontractors and site labour.
- Oversee site logistics and installation sequencing.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and toolbox talks.
- Ensure all works are completed to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate Temporary Works requirements, including permits, inspections and documentation.
- Work closely with Temporary Works Designers and Temporary Works Coordinators.
- Ensure compliance with BS 5975 and all relevant industry standards.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Site Manager or Project Manager within construction.
- Experience managing Temporary Works on live construction projects.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project programmes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
Desirable Qualifications
- Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) qualification.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Manager Card.
- First Aid at Work.
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Experience working within structural steelwork, façade, glazing or specialist construction sectors.
