Construction Project Manager 
We are seeking experienced Construction Project Managers experienced with Tunnels, Shafts, Viaducts and Bridges on major infrastructure construction programme in London, working on behalf a rail project. The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering complex civil engineering works across tunnelling, shafts, and associated infrastructure packages. This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest and most challenging infrastructure projects, managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major construction packages.
  • Manage project teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to achieve programme objectives.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Oversee construction activities including civil engineering, underground structures, shafts, and tunnelling operations.
  • Monitor and manage project risks, opportunities, and change control processes.
  • Drive programme performance and ensure adherence to project milestones.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
  • Produce and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Essential Experience
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • Strong background in infrastructure, highways, rail, utilities, or heavy civil construction.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and large site-based teams.
  • Demonstrable success delivering projects through all phases of construction.
  • Tunnelling & Shaft Project Manager
  • Significant experience managing tunnelling, shaft sinking, underground structures, or major excavation works.
  • Strong understanding of temporary works, groundwater management, geotechnical challenges, and underground construction methodologies.
  • Experience working on large infrastructure or rail projects is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex underground construction packages safely and efficiently.
Desirable Experience
  • Building or structural construction experience alongside civils delivery.
  • Experience working on major rail infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant industry certifications.
