CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Contract Manager to join a leading FM service provider who are continuing to expand their portfolio across Central London. The position will offer the opportunity to manage either a prestigious trophy building or a mixed mobile portfolio, taking full responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of Hard FM services. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Contract Manager with a proven background in commercial building maintenance, strong client-facing skills, and experience successfully managing engineering teams and service delivery.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday – 08:00am – 17:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
- Leading the day-to-day delivery of Hard FM services across either a prestigious commercial building or a mobile portfolio.
- Managing, supporting and developing engineering and supervisory teams.
- Ensuring all PPM and reactive maintenance is completed efficiently and to the required standard.
- Monitoring contract KPIs and SLAs to ensure performance targets are consistently achieved.
- Taking responsibility for Health & Safety, statutory compliance and environmental standards across the contract.
- Coordinating maintenance activities, shutdowns, lifecycle works and minor projects.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, tenants and key stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, company policies and quality procedures.
- Leading recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management across the engineering team.
- Conducting appraisals, managing attendance and handling employee matters where required.
- Managing permit-to-work systems and ensuring safe systems of work are followed at all times.
- Producing contract reports and attending regular client and operational review meetings.
- Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, operational efficiency and overall contract value.
- Providing technical support and guidance to engineering teams.
- Managing contract budgets, financial performance and profitability.
- Engineering qualification in either Electrical or Mechanical disciplines – City & Guilds, HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent.
- Proven experience managing Hard FM services within a large commercial building or similar high-profile environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing engineering teams within a building maintenance environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of M&E building services, statutory compliance and Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication, client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Strong organisational, leadership and people management capabilities.
- Experience managing budgets, financial performance and contract profitability.
