The below job description outlines the position of: Contract Manager
Typically, this person will be responsible for managing customer service orders, customer contracts and Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs) from initial enquiry through to final invoicing. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, commercial management and delivery of contracts across the marine, power and industrial sectors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
HSB Technical's client is looking for someone who has:
- An HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in an Engineering or Technical discipline.
- At least 5 years' experience within field service, contract management or service delivery for large industrial or marine mechanical equipment.
- Previous experience managing customer service contracts and Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs).
- Strong commercial awareness, including quotations, contract management, budgeting and invoicing.
- Experience using SAP, C4S or similar ERP/service management systems.
- Strong understanding of the technical, commercial and financial aspects of engineering service contracts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience coordinating engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- A full UK Driving Licence and valid UK Passport.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and overseas when required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage customer service orders and contracts from enquiry through to final invoicing.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding service orders, repairs, upgrades and spare parts.
- Prepare technical and commercial quotations, tender documentation and cost estimates.
- Coordinate engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project planning, resource allocation and spare parts requirements.
- Ensure contracts are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
- Produce KPI reports, revenue forecasts and financial updates for management.
- Maintain accurate contract records using SAP, C4S, FSM and other internal systems.
- Identify opportunities for additional work and contract growth.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and site visits.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, contract requirements and QHSE standards.
- Support continuous improvement of contract management processes and service delivery.
