About the Client

Our Client specializes in contract flooring solutions, providing a complete service covering the planning, preparation, installation and inspection of flooring projects. Their expertise spans new-build residential developments, commercial projects and industrial environments, with experience across flooring systems including carpet, carpet tiles, sheet vinyl, LVT, laminate and other contract flooring solutions. The business is currently experiencing a period of growth, with a strong presence in the new-build residential market and ambitions to further expand its commercial flooring operations and geographical reach. Roles/Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple contracts simultaneously from commencement through to completion.
  • Plan, programme and coordinate project works to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Organise and allocate directly employed and subcontract labour.
  • Coordinate labour, materials and resources across multiple live sites.
  • Liaise closely with Site Managers, clients and other project representatives.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address issues that could affect delivery.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and site teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
  • Support effective project planning, resource allocation and operational delivery.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and drive them through to successful completion.
  • Contribute to the Client's continued expansion across residential and commercial markets.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Contracts Management, Project Management or a similar construction-based role.
  • Strong experience managing multiple projects and programmes simultaneously.
  • Experience coordinating labour and subcontractors.
  • Good understanding of construction project delivery and commercial considerations.
  • Strong client-facing and relationship-management skills.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to resolve operational issues quickly.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership within a growing SME environment.
  • Experience within contract flooring is advantageous but not essential.
  • Candidates from related sectors such as flooring supply/manufacturing, drylining, interiors, fit-out or specialist subcontracting will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of flooring products such as carpet, carpet tiles, sheet vinyl, LVT and laminate would be beneficial.
