Contracts Manager
Reginald Gray
Reginald Gray are working alongside a privately owned high-end residential contractor with a turnover of approximately £15 million to appoint a Contracts Manager to join their Gloucestershire-based team.
Specialising exclusively in the prime residential sector, the business delivers bespoke new build and refurbishment projects for high-net-worth private clients. Typical project values range from £1m to £4m, with a reputation built on exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail and long-standing client relationships.
This is not a traditional Contracts Manager role. The business is open to speaking with experienced Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors who are looking to step into a broader position with responsibility for both the commercial and operational performance of multiple projects.
Reporting directly to the Contracts Director, you'll oversee several live schemes simultaneously, taking ownership of their commercial performance while managing Site Managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and in line with the exacting standards expected within the prime residential market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial performance of multiple high-end residential projects, including budgets, forecasting, procurement and final accounts.
- Oversee Site Managers across several live projects, ensuring programmes, quality standards and health & safety requirements are maintained throughout delivery.
- Report directly to the Contracts Director, providing regular updates on project performance, commercial position, programme and key project risks.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor or Contracts Manager within the construction industry.
- Strong commercial background with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous experience leading Site Managers, Project Managers or site delivery teams, or the ambition to step into this type of role.
- Experience delivering high-end residential, bespoke housing or refurbishment projects is highly desirable.
- Able to build strong relationships with private clients, consultants and subcontractors while maintaining commercial control across projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded construction professional looking to broaden their responsibilities and play a key role within a well-established contractor operating in the luxury residential sector.
