Contracts Manager

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a successful and well-established specialist contractor operating within the UK construction and building services sector.

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, our client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager – Mechanical Ductwork to join their senior management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with extensive experience delivering large-scale commercial construction projects and managing multiple contracts simultaneously.

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing project delivery, driving commercial performance, developing client relationships, and supporting the ongoing growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful delivery of multiple mechanical ductwork projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage commercial and contractual matters, including variations, risk management, and financial performance.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and supply chain partners.
• Lead project review meetings and provide strategic direction across live contracts.
• Support tender reviews, bid submissions, programme planning, and pre-construction activities.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to project and site management teams.
• Identify opportunities for business development and contribute to securing repeat business.

Candidate Requirements

• Significant experience managing mechanical ductwork contracts within the construction sector.
• Proven track record delivering high-value commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial management, contract administration, and project delivery.
• Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to develop long-term business relationships.
• Experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to drive performance while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
