Counterbalance

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to move, load, unload and organise stock and materials across the warehouse and yard.

The successful candidate will have good attention to detail, a strong commitment to health and safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift in accordance with site procedures and health & safety regulations.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Move and position pallets, materials and stock around the warehouse and yard.
• Load materials into designated storage areas and ensure stock is stored correctly.
• Carry out daily forklift checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
• Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Follow all company policies, procedures and site safety requirements.
• Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Complete relevant paperwork and stock movement records where required.

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence/Certificate.
• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse, yard or industrial environment.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Flexibility to work additional hours or shifts when required.

• Previous experience in a busy warehouse, manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Experience loading and unloading HGVs.
• Experience working in an outdoor yard environment.
• Additional forklift qualifications, such as Reach or Bendi, would be advantageous.
