Prospero Teaching is Seeking Cover Supervisors / Higher Level Teaching Assistants (Secondary Schools)
Prospero Teaching are looking for experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants, Cover Supervisors and Classroom Cover Staff to start in September, providing long-term, short-term and daily supply cover across a range of mainstream and specialist secondary schools in and around Birmingham.

Location: Birmingham
Position: Cover Supervisor/HLTA
Type of Work: Classroom Cover across KS3 and KS4
Start Date: September
Contract Type: Temporary
Pay: £95 - £120 per day (Negotiable)
Hours: 8:20am - 4:00pm (Term Time Only)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Support students across a range of subjects and year groups
• Ensure students remain on task and engaged with learning
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress, engagement, and behaviour
• Build positive relationships with students and staff
• Support the wider school community when required

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and experience leading classes or supporting secondary-aged students in an educational setting
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, HLTA, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Learning Mentor, Sports Coach, or Youth Worker is highly desirable
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training is required. If you have not completed Safeguarding training within the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide this free of charge

To Be Eligible for Any Role with Prospero Teaching, You Must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Possess an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references
