We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across North London. Whether you are looking for full-time employment or flexible bank work to fit around your schedule, we have opportunities available to suit you.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
The Role
- Supervise whole classes in the absence of the class teacher.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain engaged with learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
- Provide a calm, positive and productive learning environment.
- Support students with questions and encourage participation where appropriate.
- Report back to teaching staff on lesson progress, attendance and behaviour.
- Work across a variety of curriculum subjects as required.
We Are Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Confident managing groups of students in a classroom environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
- Adaptable, organised and able to use your own initiative.
- Passionate about supporting young people to succeed.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
