CPCS Slinger / Signaller

Location: Heathrow Airport – Terminal 2 Airside

Start: 21st September 2026

Duration: Until end of March 2027

Hours: 07:30 – 17:30

Rate: £20.00 per hour PAYE – CIJC

Red Sky Personnel is recruiting an experienced CPCS Slinger / Signaller for a long-term heavy civil engineering project at Heathrow Airport Terminal 2.

The successful candidate will be working alongside a 60-tonne crawler crane, supporting lifting operations across a major heavy civils project involving deep excavations, sheet piling, cofferdam works, concrete and drainage.

Duties will include:

• Slinging and signalling loads during lifting operations
• Working closely with the 60T crawler crane operator
• Selecting and checking appropriate lifting accessories
• Ensuring loads are correctly secured before lifting
• Directing and controlling lifting operations safely
• Working around deep excavations and heavy plant
• Supporting lifting activities associated with sheet piling, cofferdam and concrete works
• Maintaining safe exclusion zones during lifting operations
• Working within a live Heathrow airside environment
• Following lift plans, RAMS, permits and site safety procedures

Requirements:

• Valid Blue CPCS Slinger / Signaller card
• Safety Critical 
• Previous experience working with crawler cranes
• Experience working with cranes of a similar size – approximately 60 tonnes
• Strong heavy civils experience
• Good knowledge of safe lifting operations
• Experience working around deep excavations and heavy plant

Airside Security Requirements:

Due to this position being based airside at Heathrow Airport, successful candidates must be able to meet the required airside security and pass requirements.

Candidates must be able to:

• Provide a continuous and fully checkable 5-year employment/education history
• Provide satisfactory references covering the required period
• Complete the required criminal record / DBS checks
• Provide all required identification and Right to Work documentation
• Complete Heathrow airside security clearance
• Complete the required Heathrow/site induction before starting
