Customer Service Administrator

A leading manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Customer Service Administrator to join their busy and fast-paced team on an initial temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused individual who has previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, production, industrial, logistics, or supply chain environment.
The Role
As a Customer Service Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting customers and internal departments to ensure smooth order processing and delivery. Working closely with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Shipping teams, you will help ensure customer requirements are met accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing customer enquiries, quotations, and orders.
- Entering and managing customer orders using the company's ERP system.
- Liaising with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Shipping departments.
- Providing customers with updates on order progress and delivery schedules.
- Preparing and issuing customer documentation.
- Delivering excellent customer service via telephone and email.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring a high level of attention to detail.
- Supporting the wider Customer Service team with administrative duties.
About You
We're specifically looking for candidates who have worked within a manufacturing, engineering, production, industrial, logistics, or supply chain environment.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, or order processing within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively within a fast-paced team environment.

Working Hours
36.5 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 4:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
- Friday: 8:00am to 12:30pm
- Friday morning may be worked from home
