Customer Service Agent - Repairs & Maintenance

Location: Leatherhead

Salary: Up to £26,000

Contract: Permanent

We are currently working with a leading repairs and maintenance contractor that is looking to recruit a Customer Service Agent to join their busy team based in Leatherhead.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer service professional with a background in social housing, property services or repairs and maintenance. You will be the first point of contact for residents, handling repair enquiries, booking appointments and providing updates, ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout the repairs process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for residents reporting repairs and maintenance issues.
  • Log repair requests accurately onto the internal repairs management system.
  • Handle incoming telephone calls, emails and customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Liaise with planners, supervisors and operatives to provide residents with updates on appointments and repair progress.
  • Book repair appointments and ensure residents are kept informed throughout the repair journey.
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and performance targets.
  • Support the wider customer service and operational teams with general administrative duties.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and company procedures at all times.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Customer Service Advisor, Customer Service Agent, Contact Centre Advisor, Repairs Administrator or Housing Customer Service role.
  • Experience within social housing, repairs and maintenance or property services is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional telephone manner.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM or repairs management systems.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive, positive and customer-focused approach.
