Customer Service Manager – Aerospace OEM & Aftermarket
Hampshire | Supporting two UK manufacturing sites
Lead customer relationships, develop a strong team and influence delivery across a specialist aerospace manufacturing business.
TXM Recruit is seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager – Aerospace OEM & Aftermarket on behalf of an established aerospace manufacturer supplying fuel and motion control systems for fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Joining during a significant period of investment and site transformation, you’ll lead the customer service function supporting both OEM and Aftermarket customers across two UK locations. This is a role for someone who understands manufacturing pressures, can navigate complex customer expectations and has the confidence to influence decisions across operations, engineering and commercial teams.
The Role
You’ll own customer service performance, acting as the senior escalation point and ensuring customer requirements are understood across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, coaching and developing a diverse customer service team.
- Managing escalated delivery concerns, discrepancies and urgent customer requests.
- Building trusted relationships with OEM and Aftermarket customers.
- Supporting negotiations on pricing, delivery commitments and contractual terms.
- Working closely with manufacturing, planning, engineering and programme teams to resolve issues.
- Providing customer insight to support Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning.
- Ensuring order backlog accuracy and compliance with customer portals, shipping instructions and agreed processes.
- Identifying improvements that strengthen service, communication and delivery.
- Supporting audit readiness and compliance with aerospace and export-control requirements.
About You
You’ll bring a combination of people leadership, commercial awareness and experience managing demanding customer relationships within a technical or manufacturing environment. We’re looking for:
- 8–10 years’ experience in customer-facing roles, with proven team leadership experience.
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- The ability to influence colleagues across different functions without direct authority.
- A practical, structured approach to problem-solving and competing priorities.
- An understanding of aerospace regulatory requirements and export controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, and experience using MFGPro.
Experience supporting aerospace OEM or Aftermarket customers would be particularly relevant.
What’s on offer?
- A leadership role with responsibility across two UK manufacturing sites.
- The opportunity to contribute to a major facility transition and business transformation.
- Structured onboarding, mentoring and ongoing professional development.
- Access to international career opportunities within an established engineering organisation.
- A business committed to inclusion, employee development and recognition.
