We're working with an ambitious and growing FMCG food business looking to appoint a commercially minded Customer & Shopper Marketing Manager to take ownership of its customer marketing strategy and deliver impactful activation across key retail channels.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Customer Marketing, Shopper Marketing or Trade Marketing professional who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

The Opportunity

Working closely with Sales, Brand and Category teams, you'll play a pivotal role in translating brand strategy into winning customer and shopper plans that drive visibility, conversion and sustainable growth.

You'll have the opportunity to shape the customer marketing function, influence investment decisions and build strong partnerships with major UK retailers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and deliver annual customer and shopper marketing strategies across key channels.
• Lead activation across Grocery, Convenience, Wholesale, Foodservice, Out-of-Home and International markets.
• Translate shopper, consumer and category insights into commercially effective customer plans.
• Manage retailer media, in-store activation, POS, sampling, digital campaigns and promotional activity.
• Build strong relationships with retail customers, media partners and external agencies.
• Work collaboratively with Sales, Brand and Category teams to identify opportunities for growth.
• Take ownership of marketing investment, budgets and ROI, ensuring activity delivers measurable commercial results.
• Help develop and establish best-in-class customer and shopper marketing processes.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with commercially driven marketing professionals who understand the FMCG landscape and know how to turn great ideas into tangible business results.

You'll ideally bring:

• At least 5 years' experience within FMCG Customer Marketing, Shopper Marketing or Trade Marketing.
• Strong knowledge of UK grocery retail and major retailers.
• Proven experience delivering customer activation plans across retail, digital and in-store channels.
• Excellent commercial awareness, with the confidence to manage budgets, prioritise investment and measure ROI.
• The ability to interpret shopper and category insights and turn them into compelling customer propositions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across Sales, Marketing and Category.
• A proactive, resilient and hands-on approach, with the confidence to take ownership and drive initiatives forward.

Experience within Food & Drink would be particularly advantageous, although we welcome applications from candidates across the wider FMCG sector.
