Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit import customs declarations using CargoWise and the Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
  • Ensure customs entries are completed accurately and in compliance with all relevant customs regulations and client requirements.

  • Liaise with HMRC, customs authorities, government agencies, carriers and other stakeholders to resolve customs holds, examinations and documentation queries.
  • Maintain accurate customs and shipment records within CargoWise and other internal systems.
  • Upload customs documentation and shipment information to client portals in accordance with agreed service levels.
  • Provide regular updates to internal teams and external stakeholders regarding shipment status and customs clearance progress.
  • Prepare and issue invoices relating to customs brokerage services, duties, taxes and associated charges.
  • Ensure all customs activities are completed in line with company procedures, customs legislation and client-specific requirements.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Customs Broker, Customs Clearance Coordinator or in a similar customs-focused role.
  • Working knowledge of import customs procedures and customs compliance requirements.
