Cyber Security Engineer – Azure | VMware | Hybrid Infrastructure

We’re recruiting for a hands-on Cyber Security Engineer to join a growing infrastructure and security team supporting a hybrid environment across Microsoft Azure, VMware and Cisco Meraki technologies.

This is an operational cyber security role focused on cloud security, infrastructure hardening, vulnerability remediation, incident response, DR testing and cyber resilience. You’ll work closely with infrastructure, networking and service teams to improve security controls, support MDR operations and strengthen recovery capability across the estate.

Key Skills & Experience:
• Microsoft Azure security – Entra ID, Conditional Access, RBAC, Azure Policy
• VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter administration and security
• Cisco Meraki networking, firewall rules, VLANs and VPNs
• Incident response, alert triage and vulnerability remediation
• Windows / Linux hardening and patch management
• DR testing, recovery validation and business continuity support
• Exposure to Sophos MDR, Microsoft Sentinel or Defender preferred
• PowerShell, KQL or automation skills advantageous

This opportunity would suit a Security Engineer, Infrastructure Security Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer or Cyber Security Analyst with strong hybrid infrastructure exposure and a practical operational mindset.

The role offers involvement across cloud security, network security, cyber resilience, ransomware recovery planning and continuous security improvement initiatives.
