Job Title: Depot Foreman
Location: Outskirts of Crawley
Salary: £40k - £47k dependent on experience
Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Overview

A leading company on the outskirts of Crawley is seeking an experienced Depot Foreman to oversee day-to-day engineering operations at their depot.

You'll be responsible for leading a team of engineers and labourers, ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard, health and safety requirements are met, and the depot operates efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical or electrical engineering / hire background, proven leadership experience and a hands-on approach.

Role Summary

• Supervise and support engineers and depot staff
• Ensure health & safety compliance and promote safe working practices
• Oversee the preparation, maintenance and servicing of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Manage stock levels and ensure equipment is ready for use
• Attend site surveys, installations and call-outs when required
• Maintain accurate inventory and equipment records
• Lead performance reviews and support staff training and development
• Help ensure the depot operates efficiently and to a high standard

Requirements

• Previous experience in a foreman, supervisor or team leader role
• Background in mechanical or electrical engineering/maintenance
• Experience working with industrial, plant, machinery or technical equipment
• Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of health & safety and compliance
• Full UK driving licence
