- Providing expert commercial, contractual and procurement advice
- Leading effective contract management and supplier relationship management
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
- Analysing expenditure, markets and procurement opportunities to support commercial decision-making
- Leading, coaching and developing procurement colleagues
- Deputising for the Head of Clinical Procurement when required.
About you
We are looking for an experienced procurement professional who can combine strong commercial judgement with confident leadership and stakeholder management.
You will bring significant experience of procurement, category management, strategic sourcing and contract management, together with a strong understanding of clinical categories and public-sector procurement.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Significant experience managing and developing procurement teams
- Experience delivering complex procurement projects from business case and options appraisal through tendering, evaluation and contract award
- Strong knowledge of clinical procurement and category management
- Working knowledge of NHS/public-sector procurement and procurement regulations

Previous experience working within an NHS procurement function is desirable, but KFM is also interested in candidates who can demonstrate highly relevant procurement leadership experience within other complex healthcare or public-sector environments.
Why KFM?
This is a chance to join KFM in a senior role where you can influence both day-to-day delivery and the longer-term development of the procurement function.
You will work with a wide range of clinical, commercial and operational stakeholders, lead significant procurement programmes and help develop a team focused on quality, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
