Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Care (EBD)

Full‑time | Mon–Fri 9am–5pm (flexibility required)
Competitive salary - £34,000 - £38,000 (DOE)

We’re seeking a motivated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in running a therapeutic children’s home. Because the organisation invests heavily in career progression, we welcome experienced Senior Support Workers (minimum 2 years) who are ready to step into a more senior role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day operations of the home
• Lead, supervise and develop staff
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding practice
• Manage rotas, staffing and occasional on‑call duties
• Maintain accurate records and support quality assurance
• Build positive relationships with young people and professionals

What We’re Looking For

• Child‑focused, resilient and calm under pressure
• Strong safeguarding knowledge
• Confident communicator and team leader
• Understanding of EBD needs
• Flexible approach to support the needs of the home

Requirements

• Level 3 or 4 NVQ Residential Childcare
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Senior Support Worker or similar role
• Experience in children’s residential care (EBD/SEMH)
• Full right to work in the UK (without sponsorship)
