Registered Manager RMN

Domus Recruitment

Domus Recruitment are working with a specialist mental health care provider looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a Good CQC-rated female-only mental health home in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RMN leader to take ownership of a small, high-quality service where care quality is prioritised over occupancy. You will have the autonomy to lead the service, influence continuous improvement, and work alongside an experienced senior leadership team that values clinical expertise and professional judgement.

The current Registered Manager has successfully led the service for the past 5-6 years and is moving on to explore a new opportunity, meaning this is a planned transition rather than a service requiring turnaround or improvement.

This provider has a strong senior structure in place, including a Deputy/Clinical Lead who is also RMN qualified, 24/7 in-person nursing support, Healthcare Assistants, an experienced Operations Director, and a Director of Nursing supporting multiple services.

Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager:

  • Lead the day-to-day management and clinical performance of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Maintain and improve the service’s Good CQC rating through effective governance, auditing, and continuous improvement.
  • Create a positive, recovery-focused culture where residents are supported to achieve their personal goals and outcomes.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a skilled multidisciplinary team, ensuring staff feel supported and valued.
  • Ensure effective clinical governance, safeguarding practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee care planning, medication management, incident reporting, and quality assurance processes.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, commissioners, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and operational performance effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to further enhance the quality of care and service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders to support the ongoing development of the organisation.
Registered Manager Requirements:
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification with an active NMC PIN.
  • Previous management experience within a mental health setting.
  • Experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or equivalent senior clinical leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations, clinical governance, and safeguarding requirements.
  • Experience supporting adults with complex mental health needs.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with risk assessment, medication management, and clinical oversight.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary from £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
  • Annual bonus scheme.
  • 5 weeks annual leave.
  • NMC PIN renewal paid.
  • Revalidation support.
  • Ongoing leadership and professional development opportunities.
  • Medicash healthcare plan.
  • Virtual GP access.
  • Dental and optical cashback.
  • Gym discounts.
  • Life Assurance and Critical Illness cover.
  • Support from an experienced senior leadership team.
  • High level of professional autonomy.
  • Opportunity to lead a respected Good CQC-rated specialist mental health service.
