We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery in Bedford seeking an ambitious and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to become the second-in-command within their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for either an existing Deputy Manager or a strong Room Leader/Senior Practitioner looking to progress into a leadership role where they can genuinely influence standards, support colleagues and help shape the future of the nursery.
About the Nursery
This welcoming nursery cares for approximately 60 children across six rooms and is supported by a team of 19 dedicated professionals.
The nursery has built a strong reputation for providing a caring and nurturing environment for children and is now looking for a Deputy Manager who can help support, develop and inspire the team to achieve even greater success.
If you enjoy coaching others, leading by example and helping practitioners reach their potential, this could be the perfect opportunity.
The Opportunity
Working closely alongside the Nursery Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the nursery.
You will help ensure high standards of care, learning and safeguarding whilst providing guidance, support and direction to the wider team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery
- Leading and motivating practitioners across the setting
- Role modelling outstanding Early Years practice
- Supporting quality improvement and high standards
- Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Deputising for the Nursery Manager when required
This is a hands-on leadership role where your influence and support will make a genuine difference.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who:
- Has experience within an Early Years leadership or supervisory role
- Has strong EYFS and safeguarding knowledge
- Enjoys supporting, mentoring and developing others
- Leads by example and maintains high standards
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Is passionate about helping children, colleagues and the nursery thrive
