We're recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and growing nursery in Guildford seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Deputy Nursery Manager to join their leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Practitioner, Room Leader or existing Deputy Manager looking to join a supportive nursery where your ideas, leadership and development are genuinely valued.

About the Nursery

Located in Guildford, this well-established setting cares for approximately 30 children across two dedicated rooms and is supported by a close-knit team of eight staff.

The nursery combines the warmth and community feel of a smaller setting with the opportunities and stability that come from being part of a wider nursery group.

The Opportunity

Working closely alongside the Nursery Manager, you will help lead the day-to-day operation of the nursery, ensuring children receive exceptional care whilst supporting and developing the wider team.

You'll play an important role in:

  • Supporting nursery operations and standards
  • Leading and motivating practitioners
  • Building positive relationships with families
  • Championing safeguarding and high-quality practice
  • Supporting staff development and training
  • Helping create a positive and successful nursery culture

This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll have genuine influence and visibility within the setting.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who:

  • Has experience within an Early Years leadership role
  • Holds a strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding
  • Enjoys coaching and supporting colleagues
  • Leads with positivity, professionalism and enthusiasm
  • Is passionate about delivering outstanding outcomes for children

This opportunity would suit an experienced Deputy Manager or a confident Room Leader ready to take the next step.
