Design Coordinator in Luton, Bedfordshire

Design Coordinator - Up to £65,000 - Luton (Remote as well)

Our established and award winning Main Contracting client are looking to recruit a Design Coordinator to join their established Technical Team, reporting into the Contracts Director. 

As Design Coordinator you will manage the design process from pre-construction through to completion, coordinating consultant design teams and ensuring designs are technically compliant, buildable and delivered in line with the project programme, budget and client requirements.

The role offers an excellent variety of work across project sectors including commercial, education, industrial, heritage, blue light and leisure sectors in the public and private sectors, with various values. 

Skills & Experience

• Technical knowledge across a range of construction methods and building types
• Working knowledge of construction forms of contract
• Experience of design management on main contracts.
• Confident managing multiple design consultants and stakeholders simultaneously
• A leader of people with excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills 

Qualifications & Requirements

• HNC/HND or degree in Architecture, Building Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Ideally design experience with a main contractor, subcontractor or knowledge of construction design
