·Monitor quality and workmanship and identify departures from the approved design.
·Assist with NCRs, defects and corrective actions, ensuring appropriate technical input is obtained.
·Witness inspections and testing where required and review relevant quality documentation.
·Maintain accurate site records and provide regular reports to the design/project team.
·Attend site, design and progress meetings and contribute to the resolution of construction-stage technical issues.
·Work collaboratively with the client, contractor, designers and other project stakeholders while maintaining the responsibilities of the designer-side role.
Experience Required
Candidates should have substantial construction-stage experience within civil engineering or infrastructure, ideally on major design & build projects.
Experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered:
Highways & Infrastructure - roads, junctions, pavements, kerbing, drainage, utilities and associated infrastructure.
Water & Drainage - surface water, foul drainage, attenuation, culverts, pipelines and associated infrastructure.
Structures - reinforced concrete, bridges, retaining structures, foundations and other civil structures.
