The Opportunity

A growing specialist property consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Development Manager or Project Manager following the award of two new Development Management instructions.

The initial projects are residential schemes near Cardiff – one new-build apartment development and one conversion – providing a substantial and visible workload for approximately the next 18 months.

This represents a growing area of the consultancy rather than an isolated pair of instructions. The business is already delivering Development Management on significantly larger projects elsewhere in the UK, including schemes around £100m, and sees considerable scope to build this part of its service offering further.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the Development Management of the initial Cardiff projects, working closely with the client and wider professional teams to drive the schemes forward.

The role could suit an established Development Manager or an experienced consultancy Project Manager looking to broaden their remit and take greater responsibility across the development process.

The business is interested in good Project Managers / Development Managers with the judgement, commercial awareness and experience to operate effectively across Development Management.

Candidate Profile

Experienced Development Manager or Project Manager
Background within a recognised property or construction consultancy
Strong client and professional team management skills
Commercially aware with the confidence to take ownership of projects
Residential development experience advantageous
Comfortable operating autonomously within a fully remote environment
Based within the South West, Bristol or South Wales with straightforward access to Cardiff
