We are currently looking for Diesel Mechanic / Generator Technician – Onshore based in Aberdeenshire for ongoing contract with a view to go perm for the correct candidate
We’re looking for someone with:
Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic, Generator Technician or similar, Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills, Experience working on diesel engines and/or generators A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and repair, Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety , Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
BOSIET Certificate: Advantageous, but not essential for the onshore role. opportunities for occasional/ad hoc offshore work.
Diesel Mechanic / Generator Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel engines and generators
- Diagnosing and fault-finding mechanical issues
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
- Preparing and repairing equipment for operational use
- Supporting workshop-based mechanical projects and repairs
- Completing service, inspection and maintenance documentation
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop
- Undertaking occasional/ad hoc offshore work where required
