The Opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Director of Building Surveying to lead and grow a Building Surveying division in the Midlands. This is a senior leadership role offering the chance to shape strategy, drive business development, and deliver high-profile projects across a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Building Surveying team, providing strategic direction and mentorship
- Drive business growth through client relationship management and new business development
- Oversee delivery of a wide range of professional and project services including:
- Dilapidations
- Technical due diligence
- Contract administration
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Ensure high standards of service delivery and technical excellence
- Contribute to overall company strategy and leadership decisions
- Manage key client accounts and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Support recruitment, training, and development of team members
About You
- MRICS qualified (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience
- Proven track record in a senior or leadership role within Building Surveying
- Strong commercial awareness and business development capability
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills
- Experience delivering projects across commercial, industrial, or mixed-use sectors
- Ambitious, proactive, and motivated to grow a team and service line
