Role: Distribution Supervisor

Location: Milton Keynes

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 3.00pm – 11.00pm (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: £37,500 - £40,000 DOE

Duties of a Distribution Supervisor:

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of approximately 20 warehouse associates through two Team Leaders
• Drive performance, productivity and accountability across the distribution operation
• Monitor daily operational KPIs and turnaround times, taking action where required to achieve targets
• Support, coach and develop Team Leaders and warehouse staff to maximise performance
• Lead by example on the warehouse floor and maintain a hands-on approach to leadership
• Oversee daily workflow, resource planning and labour allocation
• Conduct return-to-work meetings and support employee wellbeing and attendance management
• Ensure all quality, safety and compliance standards are consistently met
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies
• Support the onboarding and training of new employees
• Participate in shift handovers and provide operational updates to management
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation and safety across the warehouse

What we would like from you:

• Previous experience within a distribution, warehouse or logistics environment
• Proven experience leading and developing teams
• Experience managing Team Leaders or Supervisors would be highly advantageous
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, pick, pack and dispatch
• Ability to motivate, coach and develop people
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and confidence making decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Good IT skills and confidence using warehouse systems
• Flexible and proactive approach to work
• Fork Lift Truck licences (VNA and Counterbalance) would be advantageous but are not essential

This role would particularly suit candidates currently working as a Warehouse Supervisor, Distribution Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Warehouse Team Manager or Operations Supervisor who are looking for a progressive opportunity within a great team and positive culture.
