Document Controller / Project Administrator – Civil Engineering Project Location: Meriden
Contract Length: Ongoing Contract Opportunity
Rate: £220 per day

Overview Tradestech Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Document Controller / Project Administrator to support a major civil engineering project based in the West Midlands. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual with strong document management experience to join a busy project environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring project documentation is accurately controlled, maintained, and communicated across project teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain project documentation systems and processes.
  • Upload, distribute, and control project drawings, reports, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Maintain accurate document registers and ensure all information is correctly recorded.
  • Manage document revisions and ensure teams are working from the latest approved information.
  • Support project teams with administrative requirements and reporting.
  • Utilise FieldView to manage project records, inspections, and documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation of project reports, trackers, and progress updates.
  • Liaise with engineers, site teams, subcontractors, and project management teams.
  • Ensure document control procedures are followed in line with project requirements.
  • Provide general project administration support as required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Document Controller, Project Administrator, or Site Administrator within civil engineering or construction.
  • Experience using FieldView is essential.
  • Strong understanding of document control processes within a construction environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across several projects.
  • Confident communicating with project teams at all levels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office packages and construction management systems.
Project Experience Preferred Experience supporting projects within the following sectors would be advantageous:
  • Civil Engineering

  • Rail
  • Utilities
  • Water
  • Major construction projects
