Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care, including washing, dressing and grooming.
- Assisting with medication in line with care plans and company policies.
- Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition and hydration.
- Assisting with light household duties, including cleaning, laundry and shopping.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Supporting individuals to attend appointments and access the community.
- Accurately completing care records and reporting any changes in a client's wellbeing.
- Promoting independence, choice, dignity and respect at all times.
- Following safeguarding procedures, health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- A caring, compassionate and professional approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred, due to the nature of travelling between clients' homes.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
