Early Years Teacher (Level 3) in Hornchurch

We are seeking a passionate and nurturing Early Years Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Upminster. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children at the start of their educational journey, creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

This opportunity is ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs who have a genuine passion for Early Years education and child development.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS Framework.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support children's academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support learning at home.
• Deliver high-quality indoor and outdoor learning experiences.
• Promote children's independence, confidence, and curiosity.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and safeguarding.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within EYFS or Early Years settings.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A creative and child-centred approach to teaching.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

• Experience teaching Reception.
• Knowledge of phonics programmes such as Little Wandle, Read Write Inc., or similar.
• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Ability to create engaging outdoor learning opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
