Job Title: Early Years Trainer

Salary: From £29,000 + tax-free bonus

Location: Remote (covering the Chilterns area)
 

Our client is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in their career. As an Early Years Trainer, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience while shaping the next generation of childcare professionals. The Early Years Trainer role offers the chance to remain connected to the early years sector while enjoying the flexibility of working from home, travelling to meet apprentices, and making a meaningful impact on their development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support apprentices working in nurseries and other childcare settings, helping them develop their skills and confidence.
  • Create personalised learning plans tailored to each apprentice's needs, ensuring they have the tools to succeed.
  • Demonstrate how functional skills such as maths and English are applied within early years care.
  • Build strong relationships with employers and provide regular updates on apprentice progress.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities and plan workloads effectively using Google Workspace and other systems.

A typical week includes approximately three days travelling to visit apprentices across the designated region, with the remaining time spent working remotely from home.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent).
  • Strong organisational skills and confidence using technology.
  • A Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) qualification in English and maths, or a willingness to achieve these qualifications.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle to travel throughout the region.
