E-commerce / Samples / Shop Assistant

Location: New Mills, SK22
Pay: £13.72 per hour
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 9:00am–5:00pm; Friday, 9:00am–4:00pm
Reporting to: Shop Manager

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused E-commerce / Samples / Shop Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by email, telephone and in person.
• Assist customers with product information and delivery advice.
• Maintain stock levels in the e-commerce and samples areas.
• Prepare internet and sample orders for shipment and collection.
• Order stock using the AS400 system.
• Pack and ship orders using machinery.
• Obtain courier prices and book deliveries with Parcelforce, Royal Mail and other couriers.
• Create quotations for corporate customers.
• Complete monthly stock checks and stock rotation.
• Create new products for sale in e-commerce.
• Liaise with production, marketing, sales and factory departments.
• Order and provide product samples and create artwork for new product sign-off.
• Serve customers in the shop, operate the till, handle money and complete cashing-up.
• Weigh and bag sweets using digital scales.
• Process customer complaints and arrange replacements.
• Source surplus stock from the factory.
• Work as part of a team and cross-check work for accuracy.
