GDS Partners are recruiting an EHS Lead on behalf of a leading Main Contractor for a permanent position based in Finland.

About the role:

- Salary of €90,000 - €100,000 + Living Abroad Package.

- Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Health & Safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across all site activities.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Review and approve RAMS and other Health & Safety documentation.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with company standards and project requirements.
- Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and Health & Safety training.
- Attend project, coordination, and Health & Safety meetings.
- Prepare Health & Safety reports and performance statistics for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and sustainability objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of Health & Safety performance.
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification, e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent.
- 7+ years' experience within Health & Safety in the construction sector.
- Previous experience in Data Centre, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Experience leading Health & Safety on large construction projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture.
