About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team based in Harold Wood. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of rail and commercial projects, delivering innovative and high-quality electrical design solutions from concept through to completion.

The successful candidate will be office-based for a minimum of four days per week, with the flexibility to work one day per week from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce electrical designs and technical drawings for rail and commercial projects.
• Prepare design calculations, specifications, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Attend design meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and coordinate designs with multidisciplinary teams.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Experience working on rail and/or commercial building projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, Dialux, or similar.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a team.
