Electrical Engineer – Building Services (Outside IR35)

Location: site based
Rate: £440 per day (8 hours) – All Inclusive
Contract Type: Limited Company (Outside IR35)
Duration: Minimum 3 Months (Immediate Start Available)

We are currently seeking two experienced Electrical Engineers to join our team on an immediate-start contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of building services projects, supporting electrical design and coordination activities within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out Amtech cable calculations.
• Completing containment fill calculations.
• Updating and maintaining distribution board (DB) schedules.
• Producing and reviewing lighting calculations using Dialux Evo.
• Coordinating with the CAD/BIM team to accurately position luminaires within the 3D model.
• Assisting in the development and coordination of:
• Lighting layouts
• Lighting control layouts
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards and project requirements.
• Working collaboratively with project teams to deliver high-quality design outputs within programme deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer within the building services sector.
• Strong working knowledge of Amtech (Trimble ProDesign) for cable calculations and electrical design.
• Experience using Dialux Evo for lighting design and calculations.
• Ability to interpret and coordinate with CAD/BIM models.
• Experience updating DB schedules and containment calculations.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Immediate availability or short notice preferred.

Contract Details

• Rate: £440 per day (8-hour day) – all-inclusive.
• Engagement: Limited Company contract.
• Status: Outside IR35.
• Duration: Minimum 3 months, with potential for extension.
• Start Date: Immediate.
