Electrical Engineer – Testing & Inspection / ACB & Switchgear Maintenance
Rate: £23.00 per hour
Location: London-based, or within an hour's drive of London
Benefits: Company van provided
MET Group Technical Services are looking for an experienced, qualified Electrical Engineer who wants to learn new technologys and methods of testing to join our team, carrying out testing, inspection and maintenance of LV electrical systems across sites in London and the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out periodic inspection and testing (EICRs) and producing accurate certification
- Planned and reactive maintenance of Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs)
- Inspection, servicing and maintenance of LV switchgear and distribution equipment
- Fault finding and remedial works
- Completing reports and job paperwork to a high standard
- Working safely in line with BS 7671, the Electricity at Work Regulations and site safety procedures
Requirements
- Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification
- Proven experience in testing & inspection (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent desirable)
- Experience in ACB and switchgear maintenance
- Full UK driving licence
- Based in London or within approximately one hour's drive
