Our client is an established Building Services contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) solutions across London and the South East.

For more than 20 years, they have successfully delivered projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, residential, industrial and public sectors, building long-standing relationships through technical expertise, exceptional project delivery and a collaborative approach.

Their success has been built on investing in their people, embracing innovation and consistently delivering projects to the highest standards. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their expanding Pre-Construction team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates from tender documentation and technical specifications.
  • Review drawings, schedules and employer's requirements to produce competitive tenders.
  • Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and material pricing exercises.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and alternative design solutions.
  • Prepare comprehensive tender submissions within required timescales.
  • Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients and consultants.
  • Support bid presentations and contract negotiations where required.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Electrical Estimator within an M&E or Building Services contractor.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
  • Experience using estimating software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • A proactive, organised and detail-focused approach.
