We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Lecturer to join a further education setting on a long-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teaching professional with a strong background in electrical installations to join a supportive educational environment and play an important role in developing the next generation of skilled electrical professionals.

The Role

As an Electrical Installation Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality theory and practical training, helping learners build the technical knowledge, practical skills and confidence they need to progress within the electrical industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and effective electrical installation theory and practical sessions.

  • Supporting learners to develop their technical knowledge and practical abilities.

  • Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

  • Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

  • Ensuring all teaching and practical activities are delivered in line with relevant health and safety requirements.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support learner achievement and meet relevant curriculum and quality requirements.

  • Supporting learners with progression into employment, apprenticeships and further study.

  • Encouraging learners to develop the skills, knowledge and professional behaviours required to succeed in the electrical industry.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Electrical Installation Lecturer who can inspire learners and bring strong industry knowledge and practical experience into the classroom.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven teaching experience, preferably within Electrical Installation or a related Further Education setting.

  • Relevant Electrical Installation qualifications.

  • A relevant teaching qualification would be advantageous, alongside your electrical qualifications and experience.

  • A clear Enhanced DBS covering both the Child and Adult Workforce, registered on the Update Service.

  • Candidates who do not currently hold a valid DBS certificate must be willing to undergo the required DBS check prior to starting the role.

  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training.

  • Up-to-date Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) training.

  • Up-to-date Prevent / Preventing Radicalisation training.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.

  • A genuine passion for teaching, mentoring and supporting learners to reach their full potential.

  • A strong understanding of health and safety within an electrical and practical learning environment.
