About the role…

To support the assembly, installation, commissioning support, maintenance and fault diagnosis of electrical and mechanical systems associated with intelligent transport systems, variable message signs (VMS), roadside equipment, control cabinets and related infrastructure.

The role will support the successful delivery of projects within the Tunnels and Major Maintenance business streams, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

As an Electrical Installation Technician you will…

  • Install, modify and maintain electrical systems, control panels and associated equipment.
  • Undertake cable installation, glanding, termination and testing activities.
  • Complete fault finding and diagnostics on electrical systems and roadside technology equipment.
  • Carry out rewiring and refurbishment activities on existing installations
  • Support site installation activities across multiple projects.
  • Work from electrical drawings, wiring schematics and installation documentation.

About you…

  • Electrical installation and maintenance experience.
  • Electrical fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Reading electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
