Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a permanent and varied role? Is your background in manufacturing? Do you have PLC experience?

We’re partnering with a long-standing client to find an experienced and dedicated Group Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work across a handful of sites around North Manchester.

You’ll have previously worked in a manufacturing environment, in particular with machinery and robotics. You’ll also have experience with programming and fault finding on PLC’s.

About You

• You’ll have your own transport and be committed to working across various sites around North Manchester
• A sound knowledge of A.C / D.C drives is essential
• You'll need your 18th Edition
• City & Guilds 2391 (test and Inspection) is preferred
• IPAF trained
• PLC experience (Siemens ideally)
• There is lots of installation work in this role
• Mechanical experience would be helpful
• CompEx and Atex would be an advantage

About The Job

• It's a multi-site role where you'll work across a handful of North Manchester based manufacturing plants
• You'll join as Group Electrical Engineer where you'll be responsible for planned/unplanned maintenance, installation and fault-finding on machinery and equipment from 100 year old machines to top of the range robotics
• They're looking for someone dedicated who can stay with the company for a long time
• The on-call rota is non-negotiable; you must be able to commit to 1 week out of 7
